For over 25 years Anthony Reddy (Reddy Made Maths) has established himself as one of the UK’s leading Primary Mathematics Consultants, renowned for his dynamic and inspirational training and his passion for making maths fun and accessible to all.

‘So many people; children, parents and even teachers, often have real hang-ups about maths that have been ingrained from an early age.

The phrase ‘I can’t do maths’ is one that I hear regularly.

As a maths consultant one of my main aims is to let people see that maths can be made visual, creative, interactive and really engaging, and that everyone can understand and ‘do’ maths if they’re taught in the right way.’

Career

Anthony began his career as a primary school teacher, working in three different Local Authorities and teaching across the age ranges.

He soon developed a real love for teaching mathematics and, following a spell in Lancashire as a Leading Maths Teacher (LMT), he became a National Numeracy Strategy Consultant in Rochdale and then Senior Primary Strategy Consultant for Blackburn with Darwen.

Since then, Anthony has worked as an independent Consultant, both in the UK and with British schools internationally, always aiming to re-invigorate classroom practitioners with his unique and engaging ideas for the planning and delivery of primary maths.

‘Most of all, I hope that my training and in-class support not only deepens subject knowledge and understanding, but also really boosts confidence and helps both teachers and children to develop a real love for mathematics!’
